The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), under the U.S. Department of Transportation, was established by the Highway Safety Act of 1970 as the successor to the National Highway Safety Bureau to carry out safety programs under the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1966 and the Highway Safety Act of 1966.

NHTSA is responsible for reducing deaths, injuries and economic losses resulting from motor vehicle crashes. This is accomplished by setting and enforcing safety performance standards for motor vehicles and motor vehicle equipment, and through grants to state and local governments to enable them to conduct effective local highway safety programs.

NHTSA provides leadership to the motor vehicle and highway safety community through the development of innovative approaches to reducing motor vehicle crashes and injuries. The agency is dedicated to achieving the highest standards of excellence in motor vehicle and highway safety and strives to exceed the expectations of its customers through its core values of Integrity, Service and Leadership.

Graco Children's Products Inc., headquartered in Exton, Pennsylvania, is committed to designing and manufacturing safe, high-quality, and innovative products that meet the needs of today's parents. The Graco family is more than the moms, dads, aunts, uncles and grandparents that make up the 1,500 employees around the world. They are the caring individuals that stand behind Graco's products.

For over 50 years, Graco has looked to moms for insight on product innovations. The idea behind the first wind-up swing was inspired by a mother's intuition to soothe her baby. The popular swing, named the Swyngomatic®, sold millions in the following years, thus leading the company to become one of the world's best known and most trusted juvenile products companies.

Today, Graco Children's Products, a Newell Rubbermaid company, remains dedicated to developing safe, high-quality products for all family lifestyles and continues to answer the requests from moms.
